A few decades ago we were in Peace Corps in Botswana, next to Zimbabwe and north of South Africa. A local man said to me, “the Europeans want us to save all our animals because they have eaten all of theirs.”
African animals have long been a favorite jigsaw puzzle subject. The variety of patterns and colors make great puzzles. We decided to see if we could find artwork done by Africans for a puzzle. We stumbled on the Zimbabwe Artists Project, an Oregon nonprofit that helps support artists in rural Zimbabwe by selling their art.
We are thrilled to team up with ZAP to produce this puzzle. It gives us a chance to support the project and produce a great puzzle.
